Solar Rage is about the continual and ultimate corruption of planet earth and the corruption of humanity that causes it, then ignores both it and its solution. Still, while we try, we can't shake the problem and we can't shake the feeling that there is close and urgent hope. This song hints at hope. Tragically, lives are lost as we theorise about it, and some even work against it.

Two birds appear in this song. The swan is a reference to the opening line of Iron Maiden's, "Brave New World", a line and a song about the pollution and death of the world and dystopia. The dove is a reference to the Biblical story of Noah's ark, which highlights creation's corruption and humanity's hope.

Musically, there is extended use of the riff, featuring the "twin-axe attack."
